Fire Prevention at Coastal Beaches on 4th of July

San Luis Obispo Coast District - Help prevent fire hazards on the 4th of July holiday this year along the Cambria and San Simeon beaches. Join California State Parks, local law enforcement, and fire agencies in this joint effort for a safe holiday this year.

Beachfront from Shamel Park in Cambria to Leffingwell Landing, fires will not be allowed on the beaches all day and through the night. Shamel Park in Cambria is a popular site to view fireworks and enjoy family fun for the holiday. Visitors will continue to enjoy a public fireworks show, food, games and activities.

On July 4, 2003, the following fire prevention enforcement will include:

Fires will not be allowed on all beaches from Shamel Park and Moonstone Beach, north to Leffingwell Landing.

Please help and insure a safe and festive 4th of July holiday along our beachfront.
