San Luis Obispo Coast District Docent Training
Morro Bay, CA - Persons interested in becoming docents and volunteers with California State Parks at Morro Bay, Montaña de Oro, and Pismo Beach are invited to attend three training classes being held on three Saturdays in January, 2004. Apprentice docents and volunteers are expected to attend all three classes as well as continuing education workshops scheduled in the future.

Class I will begin at 9:15 AM on January 10th at the Morro Bay State Park Museum of Natural History. The first session, the longest, will last until 3:00 PM. Trainees should bring a sack lunch and wear comfortable clothes in preparation for a very short walk.

Class II takes place on Saturday, January 24th at the Pismo Beach State Park Nature Center in the Oceano Campground on Pier Avenue in Oceano. Class II will last from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM.

Class III, located at the Spooner Ranch House Visitor Center in Montaña de Oro State Park, will begin at 9:30 AM and run until 1:00 PM. January 30th is the date for Class III.
