INSIDE THIS OLD HOUSE AT HEARST CASTLE
San Simeon, CA – On Friday, December 24, 2004 Hearst Castle will be featured on Inside This Old House on the Arts & Entertainment Network. The program is titled, “Architectural Destinations” and is hosted by Emmy nominated narrator Kevin O’Connor. Kevin is joined by plumbing and heating expert Rich Trethewey to revisit one of their favorite architectural destinations.
This fascinating program allows the viewer to visit the castle at San Simeon, once the home of the late newspaper magnet, William Randolph Hearst. Hearst Castle was designed by the famed San Francisco architect Julia Morgan. Today, Hearst and Morgan’s collaboration is a house museum open to the public and showcases one this countries foremost art collections.
Also, on the program they visit a magnificent Victorian home in Phoenix that was spared from the wrecking ball, and they show you a tree house-like home in Diamond Head, Hawaii, designed by the famed architect Norman LaCayo.
