State Parks Recruits Volunteers For Morro Bay Museum of Natural History, Montaña de Oro and Pismo State Beach.

California State Parks is currently seeking volunteer/docents to volunteer time at Morro Bay State Park Museum of Natural History, Montaña de Oro State Park, and Pismo State Beach. Those who enjoy nature will find a variety of positions available, both indoors and outdoors, including but not limited to: gardening, trail maintenance, nature walks, curatorial, staffing visitor centers, libraries and offices, and working with school groups.

Orientation and training will begin on Saturday, January 8, 2005, continuing on Saturday, January 22 and 29, 2005. Depending upon where your interests lie, additional training and education for docents will be offered. All sessions are 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Applications are available at the Museum of Natural History in Morro Bay State Park, the Spooner Ranch House at Montana de Oro State Park, and the Nature Center at Pismo State Beach. For more information, call 772-2694 or 528-8578 by December 10, 2004.
